Mission Statement

The OTH (ostbayerische technische hochschule) is a mixture of teaching research, and practice with over 40 professional practice-oriented Bachelor and Master degree courses in architecture, engineering, environmental planning, business studies, design, health and social services are characterised by their high level of quality. OTH Regensburg works closely with numerous business enterprises to offer a wide range of dual study programmes. Cooperation with industry in the region also plays a major role in teaching and research.

International Role

The OTH has more than 150 partnership across all Faculties. *The Department of Architecture (with a student body of approximately 600) is currently in the process of strengthening the cultural and educational dialogue between its own international partners and the OTH. The Department‘s faculty increasingly stimulates awareness for the value of interdisciplinary education and international involvement for its students (specifically for the newly acquired programs of Bachelor of Building Climate Control and Bachelor of Industrial Design).

National Role

OTH has a strong local connection with the University of Regensburg. The new hybrid Program of Industrial Design is working directly with regional industry and design organizations. The Department of Architecture also hopes to tap possibilities for exponential change through cultural triangulation (Bavaria, Bohemia and Upper Austria) by having a long term portal to cross-cultural experiences (think global, act local) within our region.
