Mission Statement

LCI Barcelona trains professionals in design who are recognized for their excellence, global vision and capacity to solve problems and generate significant social and economic value.

International Role

LCI Barcelona, Official School of Higher Education in Design, is the European campus of the LCI Education network. LCI Barcelona's origin is the association in October 2013 between LCI Education and the School of Higher Education in Fashion Felicidad Duce. LCI Barcelona trains professionals in design, recognized by their excellence and their global vision.

LCI Barcelona is a member of LCI Education, a Canadian network present on 5 continents that now boasts 22 higher education campuses and a teaching staff of nearly 1,500, dedicated to teaching 10,000 students around the globe yearly.

LCI Education traces its origins back to LaSalle College Montreal, which was founded in 1959. Its international-level activities were launched when it exported its Quebec know-how by opening its first LaSalle College campus in Morocco in 1989. LCI Education encourages program harmonization across the various countries in order to ensure greater flexibility, better control over the quality of its services and respect for cultural diversity.

LCi Barcelona is an active member of the Erasmus network and promotes mobility as an essential part of training. Belonging to the LCI Network group will exponentially enhance the mobility of students and teachers. Our focus on the internationalization of training and teaching experience is what drives us to be part of CUMULUS.

National Role

The training methodology at LCI Barcelona is based on experience and professional practice. However, the training of future professionals also integrates knowledge from the social and technological sciences, as well as from the business management specialism. LCI Barcelona offer a dynamic and constantly updated training platform, closely linked to the social, cultural and economic context to integrate and transmit to the student the evolution of techniques and the needs of people, companies and institutions. The school forms part of the clusters in our sectors and partners with the principal design centres in the country, as well as forming partnerships with the different technology and innovation centres.

To carry out its mission, the School comprises a group of professionals committed to consolidating a creation and experimentation centre in constant development, fostering the spirit of collaboration and sustainability in design and in society.

The students and alumni are professionally trained in order to meet any challenge within the design sector. Their objective is to get as close as possible to companies within the design sector, to consider their issues, adapt to their needs at all times and provide them with the best professionals in the sector.
