Hosted by Tsinghua University, The Tsinghua International Conference on Art & Design Education (ICADE) envisions the future of art and design education innovation in the new era from a global perspective. Since 2021, it has been successfully held for four times, under the themes of “Ask: Our Diverse World (2021)” ; “The Symbiosis of all things (2022)”; “The Emerging Roles (2023)”; “New Dimensions: Imagination Beyond the Horizon(2024)”. Through various platforms like the academic forums, interdisciplinary workshops, exhibitions, and student forums, it has gathered the cutting-edge achievements of global art, design, and multi-disciplinary thinkers and practitioners.
The 2025 Tsinghua International Conference on Art and Design Education (ICADE 2025) will be held from November 15 to 16 in Milan, Italy. Under the theme of “Future Context: A New Paradigm for Art and Design Education”, the conference aims to examine the metamorphosis of artistic and design languages in the AI era, exploring how emergent linguistic logics necessitate the reconfiguration of expressive modalities and cognitive frameworks within art & design pedagogy.
