Call for Reviewers for Cumulus Nantes 2025 conference: Ethical Leadership – A New Frontier for Design
The Cumulus Association and L’École de design Nantes Atlantique invite you to participate
as a reviewer for the Cumulus Spring Conference 2025 in Nantes, France, titled “Ethical
Leadership: A New Frontier for Design.” This conference brings together academics,
researchers, educators, practitioners, and creatives from around the world to submit
contributions. The theme explores the ability of designers to lead ethically responsible
innovation within organizations in social, ecological, cultural, and digital domains.
The conference features six different tracks :
• Digital Ethics : From UX to Ecosystems, from Immersive Interactions to Tangible Experiences, from AI Ubiquity to AI Acceptability
• Food Ethics : Food Transition and Environmental Challenges
• Care and public innovative action Issues : Managing new ethics of public design
• City and Territorial Development Issues : Social Inequalities and Territorial Development
• Informational Issues : Information and Interaction Design & Trust in Information
• Design Entrepreneurship : From “Doing” to “Making Do”, Challenges of the Hierarchical Evolution of Designers

As a reviewer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the
conference by evaluating submitted papers and helping to select the best contributions for
presentation. The review process is anonymous to ensure impartiality and fairness.
Reviewer Responsibilities:
• Evaluate around fifteen abstracts (200 words each) in pairs, based on established
criteria.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection of papers for the final selection.
Review Process:
Double reading in pairs consisting of:
• A researcher/professor experienced in the call for papers process (senior
researchers, junior researchers, doctoral candidates, course leaders…)
• A professional in the field of design
Timeline:
• Abstracts Evaluation: October 25 – November 14, 2024
• Full Papers Evaluation: February 3 – March 24, 2025
The evaluation process will utilize the ExOrdo tool to manage reviews efficiently.
Your contribution will advance design research and provide an opportunity to connect with
other researchers and international experts in the field.
