The Index Project

Established in 2002, The Index Project foundation pushes the boundaries of design-for-good by focusing on design that solves real needs in our society – what we call ‘design to improve life.’ The Index Project mission is to promote and mobilize design to improve life through our Index Award, education programs, and impact investment funds.

The first Index Award was held in 2005, identifying the world’s most impactful and iconic sustainable solutions. Guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the Award continues to celebrate diversity, inspire hope and act as a catalyst for groundbreaking innovation
