The ideal candidate operates at the intersection of design, environmental systems, and material science, engaging in research that responds to planetary challenges through innovation in material sourcing, fabrication, industrialized construction, and lifecycle thinking.
We seek a highly motivated individual with expertise in areas such as material prototyping, digital fabrication with natural composites, lifecycle assessment, or material systems for regenerative design. A strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and environmentally engaged design education is essential.
Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in architecture and design, supervise student projects, engage in scholarly research, and contribute to the ongoing development of the design and architecture curriculum, as well as to the evolution of fabrication and materials laboratories and facilities.

Qualifications
- A doctoral degree in a relevant design or related field, or an advanced stage in obtaining the doctorate.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience relevant to the position’s focus.
- Research and scholarly publications in relevant disciplines.
- Proven teaching experience at the university level, including course development and student mentorship.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is desirable but not required.
