The space odyssey began in the 1950’s. As designers were exploring new terrestrial design frontiers, scientists were exploring extra-terrestrial missions. The moon mystery as revealed, and the sad face of the moon that instigated romance and wonder, became a new frontier to be conquered. In the age of the new digital revolution, humans are searching for the inhabitation of extra-terrestrial planets and crossing extra-terrestrial design borders for the new age of humanity, where we become extra-terrestrial beings. What borders will designers need to cross to reach extra-terrestrial spaces? and what successful precedents of crossing design borders can we use to apply for the space mission?
