Research Activity and Main Areas

1. BORN TO DESIGN

At CES Design Centro Superior de Diseño y Arte Digital, the Higher School of Design and Digital Arts, we educate those who see design not simply as a profession, but as a way of thinking, creating and transforming the world around them. If design is your passion, this is where you belong.

2. OFFICIALLY RECOGNISED QUALIFICATIONS

Our programmes lead to official qualifications in Artistic Education, recognised under Spanish Law 1/2024, with the same level of qualification as a university degree within the European Higher Education Area. Our programmes offer officially recognised training designed to prepare students for professional careers in design.

3. A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO EDUCATION

Our academic model brings together learning, professional practice and technology to prepare designers to meet the real-world challenges of today and tomorrow. We offer a multidisciplinary educational approach based on a combination of theory and practice, with real-world projects that allow students to apply the skills and knowledge acquired throughout their degree.

4. INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS AS LECTURERS

Our teaching staff consists of practising professionals specialising in different areas of design. This ensures that our content remains up to date, provides students with first-hand insight into the current market and fosters a genuine connection with the world of design.

5. STRONG INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS

Our integrated education model bridges the gap between the classroom and the professional world, connecting students with businesses and the wider employment ecosystem. We bring students closer to industry know-how, products and projects, both inside and outside the classroom.

6. INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY

Our ERASMUS+ European exchange programme enables students to enjoy unique cultural experiences while enhancing their academic and personal development. Through this programme, they develop a global outlook and key skills for an interconnected world, preparing them to become professional designers and global citizens.

7. CAREER-FOCUSED EDUCATION

From the classroom to the workplace. Portfolio development, professional presentation skills and the development of soft skills are all integral to our learning experience. These are designed to prepare students for the recruitment process for work placements, with the support of our dedicated department.

8. STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES AND FAB LAB

Our Madrid campus spans more than 20,000 m² and features sports facilities, a cafeteria, parking and outdoor communal areas. The main building comprises four floors and houses five digital labs, a coworking space, a drawing studio, a design workshop and our outstanding FAB LAB, equipped with digital fabrication technology, including a 3D printer, laser-cutting equipment, and vinyl printing and cutting machines.

9. AD EDUCATION GROUP

We are part of AD Education, an international education group and one of Europe's leading networks of schools and universities. The group has more than 42,000 students, 21 schools and 72 campuses across France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
