Mission Statement

ESDA is a human team formed by creators with specific skills across the diverse world of interior design, product design, fashion design, and graphic design.

More than just a school, ESDA is a dynamic design center that boasts excellent facilities and collaborative living spaces, fully equipped to nurture new projects. We cultivate a vibrant working atmosphere that empowers our students and faculty to take on new challenges.

A key pillar of our educational approach is the strong focus on research and the development of socially-oriented projects. We believe in using design as a powerful tool for positive change.

The core of our activities is centered around the most important raw material we possess: the value and potential of our students.

International Role

We actively participate in the Erasmus+ program, facilitating the mobility of students, professors, and professionals among various European institutions and companies. We also develop international projects in collaboration with European and Ibero-American educational institutions.

ESDA is deeply involved in the global design community through several strategic agreements:
We hold a direct collaboration agreement with the Ibero-American Design Congress and participate actively in every ENCUENTRO BID (a platform for meeting, debate, and coordination for Ibero-American Design Teaching Centers, organized by DIMAD within the framework of the Ibero-American Design Biennial – BID). This involvement includes both student participation in exhibitions and professor participation in working meetings, where they present innovative teaching experiences, discuss design research lines, and coordinate with other institutions.
We are active members of the Cúmulus association, contributing with papers and workshops.

ESDA houses its own Social Design Lab within the international DESIS (Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability) cluster, reinforcing our commitment to research and social impact.

National Role

ESDA collaborates with local institutions and ONGs to develop projects of a social nature and is in contact with companies in the area with internship agreements for students and training for teachers. Likewise, it contacts with specific professionals of international character when it is required to provide the execution of the projects of the highest possible quality.
