Mission Statement

With a teaching principle emphasizing both technical excellence and humanity science, as well as integrating Chinese culture with new concepts of the world , the School is strongly committed to providing professional design education that highlights creativity, and promoting individuals creative thinking. Students are also encouraged to constantly expand the realms of their knowledge.

International Role

CKAD devotes to enriching the world's design education, and intending to nurture young students who love art and design to become members of the highly skilled elite of modern design reform of China in the 21st century. By now, CKAD has exchange program with Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and different design researches with Hong Kong City University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

National Role

CKAD plays important role in Chinese design education reformation and Chinese culture inheritance. CKAD is the sole design institution in the east Guangdong, and one of the top institutions in Chinese design education. CKAD has good cooperation with national design institutions and associations such as Academy of Arts and Design Tsinghua University, The Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, China Artists Association and so on.

Main Focus

Equipped with the latest technology and social science methodology and dedicated to integrating Chinese culture with new world concepts, the School offers professional education that is based on inspiration and creativity. The aim is to train up design speialists who will drive the development of creative economies and whose philosophy stresses the merging of "heart and hand".
