Mission Statement

The Department of Architecture aims to educate individuals of the world citizens, who have ethical values, and who have adopted universal cultures, and who are able to transform this into a social benefit.  The main aims of the Architecture Department are being student-oriented, contributing to science through original researches, reflecting universal developments and changes to the education system, using contemporary education methods, and solving problems.

International Role

BAU Cyprus Department of Architecture has distinguished academic staff in order to maintain high-grade and contemporary education and training with its technological infrastructure that provides the students with technical knowledge and skills throughout their education.  In order to improve the quality of education, great importance is attached to cooperation with various national and international institutions and organizations. So, during the education and training process, theoretical lectures, workshops, exhibitions, research, and study tours are organized regularly.
Currently, our university provides education to students from 52 different countries around the world. Bahçeşehir Cyprus University aims to educate global citizens. 

National Role

Depending on its historical past, the traces of various civilizations make Cyprus an open-air museum. In addition to this, having many positive aspects in terms of climate and geographical features allows different kind of studies to be carried out in various fields. 
Conservation, restoration, adaptive reuse, landscaping, urban and design projects are adapted to the curriculum of the architecture department in order to contribute to the protection and development of local cultural assets. These studies aim to contribute to development by cooperating with official institutions and organizations such as municipalities, department of antiquities, city planning department, chambers of architects, and engineers.

Bahçeşehir Cyprus University aims to be a liberal university that develops the boundaries of science, technology, and art, provides most academic support to students to help them achieve their full potential in learning and progress, values and participates in regional and social development, provides a world-class education to its students and shapes the future by making a difference at a universal level.
