Mission Statement
The future development of FIAD will be based on the local area and take a global perspective, striving to establish an authoritative professional teaching and research team, and steadily conduct cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary teaching, research, and practice activities aimed at establishing FIAD as an outstanding teaching- and research-oriented educational institution with a primary focus on disciplinary research.
International Role
The University endeavors to pursue the core value of big data-driven social sciences, digital humanities and interdisciplinary programmes, and strive to be a metropolitan university that emphasises Macao Characteristics, China's Soul and Global Vision.

Research Activity and Main Areas
FIAD now offers Bachelor Degree Program: Bachelor of Arts in Design; Master/Ph.D. Degree Programs: Master of Design, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Design, Master of Fine Arts, Doctor of Philosophy in Arts Studies, Master of Urban Planning and Design, Doctor of Urban Planning and Design. Adhering to the principles of high starting points, international standardization, and emphasizing practice, FIAD has invited both domestic and international cutting-edge scholars and experts to join its faculty and established academic partnerships with renowned universities and research institutes around the world. FIAD also has the Craft Laboratory, Faculty of Innovation and Design, and the Sino-Portugal Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Science of Cultural Heritage Conservation Supported that focus on academic research and special research and development in the fields of design, art, urban planning, and heritage protection.
