Postdoctoral researcher in Design for Transformation and Change
We are now looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join research community at the Department of Design. In this position you will have a chance to make a societal impact by research, teaching, collaboration, and participation in larger societal calls within the area of Design.
Your role and goals
The ideal candidate, with a relevant doctoral degree, is interested in contributing in all of these areas: research, teaching, collaboration and large funding calls. Design is highly outward-facing, adjusting to various clients, publics and economic logics. In recent years, design practice has moved beyond the shaping of products, images and spaces to be used as a technique for solving complex problems. Thus, it has also become a tool in management or policymaking. We see design as highly relevant both to the development of the
creative industries themselves but also in societal and business transformations. Within this perspective, design is intended as the approach that fosters innovation in all sectors through the development of tangible and intangible solutions and ways of working. We work in a collaborative manner, and as a postdoctoral researcher, we hope you contribute actively to the team through leading research (building on synergy between your core capabilities and current projects of the team), with teaching and instruction of PhD and Master students, and with cross-disciplinary collaboration and the capability of expressing your knowledge and insights into a larger societal context.
