Many of the events are planned and others often not as in the case of death. In this working group we invite people to share about their research and design of rituals in services in the cases of life events. Rituals take part in the services as in a form of singing happy birthday for a birthday hero, baptism and pouring water in a head, or placing flowers on top of a coffin. We recognize how the rituals are connected in the values of the societies we live in and they are shaping the rituals of the life events. Today climate change is one that is changing the values, but also external impacts such as COVID-19 or natural disasters can induce new rituals.
