Call for papers for the colloquium "Autoproduction : When the artist or designer is the Producer of their own work" organized by ESAD of Reims that will take place on October 24th 2011 in Reims. "The 2d International Meeting of Art and Design organized by l’Ecole Supérieure d’Art et de Design in Reims (France) will discuss the issues of Autoproduction. Involving models of development, consumer and industry representation on a large scale, more and more designers are choosing - or are forced - to (re) appropriate the territory of production. Diverse and varied, their approaches arise as systems that adapt to the economic and industrial problematic taken place in recent years as well as to issues that are ethical, aesthetic and political. This colloquium will give us the opportunity to identify the theoretical and artistic issues of self-production in the contemporary cultural and socioeconomical context."
