Graduation Exhibition 2012
Designskolen Kolding, Denmark
June 26 – July 8, 2012
Can you design a happy life? This is one of the questions raised at Graduation Exhibition 2012 where fifty new designers just graduated from Kolding School of Design present the culmination of five years of study.
Taking the humane as its starting point, the exhibition unfolds the concept of design demonstrating the broadness of the profession; designers are craftsmen, theorists, aesthetes, data collectors, detail-oriented, visionary, and inventive. Yet, they all share a striving for human communication.
Class of 2012 shows that all good design holds a personal story; whether it be a cemetery inspired by the “Magnificent Seven” cemeteries in London, hundreds of small coloured houses built for endangered city birds, or simply, the answer to the question of whether designing a happy life is possible.
The exhibition opens with a vernissage on Tuesday 26 June from 15.00-17.00.
Mayor Jørn Pedersen will give the opening speech.
Opening hours are Monday to Sunday 10.00-18.00 and Thursdays 10.00-21.00
The exhibition closes on 8 July.
Venue: Nicolai, Skolegade 2, 6000 Kolding
